California Career Dreaming and Reality

Published by Paul Freiberger under Celebrities

Planning ahead for a new career?  Or, at least daydreaming for the career you would love to afford? If owning a winery in California’s wine country is your dream then you may be following a trend set by many celebrities, including: David Beckham, Santana, Bob Dylan, Joe Montana, and Nancy Pelosi.

If you love wine, then owning a winery has got to be appealing. The countryside is beautiful, the product is coveted by millions, and it’s just plain chic.

Wine making and celebrities are not a new match. Francis Ford Coppola entered the wine business years ago, buying the former Inglenook Vineyards of Napa County in 1995, and in 2006 bought another winery in Sonoma County.

Other personalities who share a love for wine making include Mario Andretti, Tommy Smothers, and French actor Gerard Depardieu, who says of wine making: “This is speaking to the land.”

Not Just a Dream

California produces up to 95% of our country’s wine. It’s also a fact that it’s an industry where jobs can be had. From chemistry to wholesale or retail sales and management, you can look into this industry as a real career opportunity. You won’t be surprised to learn that you can search for jobs at winejobs.com.
