I’ve had my share of careers. Flipping burgers, janitor, garment worker. Later on: language teacher, night porter (in Italy). Eventually: newspaper reporter and columnist, and book author. Later still: Inventor (I hold several patents), manager of advanced technology research projects at a prestigious Silicon Valley high tech lab. Then: corporate communications consultant at McKinsey & Company. Today, consulting is my focus and it extends from resume writing, career counseling and outplacement to speech writing, white papers, and books. I understand career change. That’s why I started this blog. I look forward to sharing ideas and thoughts with you to help all of us experience a career upshift.
